The Kibbutz Kalia Guesthouse is happy to accommodate you in the lowest place on earth – the north shore of the Dead Sea. There are 64 air conditioned and fully equipped rooms in the guest house, surrounded by lawns and blooming greenery in the heart of the desert. The accommodations in the Kibbutz are suitable for families, couples and groups of travelers.

There are plenty of recreation sites in Kibbutz Kalia: a swimming pool (during the season), a pub , sports courts and playgrounds for kids, a health treatment center giving massages, and expedition in the wild desert landscapes on ATVs (all terrain vehicles) and on horseback.

And of course, not to forget the Dead Sea beach (Kalia Beach), only a 5 minute drive from the Kibbutz – a clean and orderly beach with lifeguards, sheds, snack bars, toilets and showers and… the world famous black mud of the Dead Sea, with its amazing healing qualities.

There are 64 accommodation units in the guest house:

Family holiday apartments – 6 spacious apartments including a living room and a bedroom, a television, a balcony and a fully equipped kitchenette with: a microwave, an electric stove, a refrigerator, a kettle and a coffee corner (those who want to cook will need to bring cooking utilities). The apartment can accommodate a couple with three or more kids.

Mini-suites – 42 upgraded mini-suits including a bedroom, a living room with a door leading to the lawn, a small refrigerator and a coffee corner. The mini-suite can accommodate a couple with 2 kids.

Guest rooms – 16 comfortable rooms equipped with a television, a small refrigerator and a coffee corner. Suitable for couples or for singles.

Location:

Kibbutz Kalia is located to the north of the Dead Sea, about half an hour’s drive from Jerusalem on Highway num. 1 in the direction of the Dead Sea. You will recognize the Kibbutz immediately because it’s an island of green on the desert background. The Qumran national park is located near the Kibbutz.
