Kibbutz Tirat Zvi – Beit She’an Valley

The holiday village “Gan Ba’eden” is a religious site in the Beit She’an Valley, filled with grass and trees offering a natural environment of peace and quiet. The holiday village has 27 guest units suitable for couples, families and groups.

All the units are air conditioned and fully equipped including a dairy kitchen.

The accommodation units

The holiday village has 17 new guest units, a studio, a mini family guest room, a family suite and 10 family guest units (not new). All the units are suitable for families and couples with accessibility for the disabled. All the rooms have an LCD television with satellite, wireless internet, and air conditioning, a dairy kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle (hot water boiler for the Sabbath) and coffee supplies. Outside the rooms guests will enjoy garden furniture, barbeque corners and a cash point machine.

The new accommodation units

The Studio – this accommodation unit is suitable for couples or families with 2 or 3 children. The studio has a wide open space with a dairy kitchenette, shower and W.C (there is no division between the parents and children).

The Mini family guest room –this accommodation unit is spacious and suitable for families with 2-4 children or for couples. The room includes: a bedroom, living room, dairy kitchenette with utensils, shower and W.C (there is no division between the parents and children).

The family suite – this is a larger accommodation unit and suitable for families with 4-7 children. It includes a master bedroom for parents and a bedroom for children with bunk beds, a living room and a dairy kitchenette with utensils.

The family units

The olive wing – these 8 accommodation units are suitable for large families with up to 7 children. Each guest room has two bedrooms, a living room and dairy kitchenette with utensils.

The Fig wing – there are 2 units on the second floor which are suitable for couples with up to 4 children. Each unit has a master bedroom for parents and a bedroom for children with bunk beds and a dairy kitchenette with utensils.

On Saturdays there is a guided tour on the paths of the kibbutz with story telling of the kibbutz’s past and present day stories.

Activities for guests include:

There are other activities that take place in the area which include visiting the nature reserves, springs, organic agriculture, bird watching, biological pest control, archeology, settlement sites, the Rothberg power station, cycling routes, jeep and tractor rides.

Israel is situated as the main center of migrating birds between Asia and Africa and twice a year around half a billion birds pass through the country. Many of the birds make a temporary stop in areas that provide them with food and habitat. There are many areas where the migrating birds choose to stop whether it is by the sea, in the desert, fish ponds, by the national water carrier, or agricultural plows and Kibbutz Tirat Zvi is a central place for a large variety of birds such as: Heron’s, Kingfisher’s, Pelican’s, duck’s, Raptors, Barn Owls and many more.

Kibbutz Tirat Zvi is situated in the Beit She’an Valley, west of the Jordan Valley.

The kibbutz was established in 1937 and was one of the first kibbutzim founded by the Tower and Blockade settlement enterprise and the religious movement.
