The Bar-David
Museum.
of Jewish Art is located in Kibbutz Bar-Am situated in
the Galilee Heights. It bears the name of its donors.
Tova and Moshe Bar - David, of blessed memory.
The Museum’s Collection includes:
*Jewish Holy Ritual Objects.
*Archaeological finds from Israel and .
the Region.
*Works of Jewish and Israeli Artists.
Most of the Collection was donated by the
Bar-David family and dedicated to the Jews of
Bezezani who perished in the Holocaust.
The Museum covers 600 square meters on two stories.
The first contains a large Hall of Exhibitions of Work
taken from the Permanent Collection and two smaller.
rooms showing Jewish Ritual Objects:
Goblets, Hanukah Candelabra, Torah Cases,
Spiceboxes, Candelholders and Megillot - all from the
various Jewish communities.
The expansive upper floor is designated for Exhibitions
of art. The small room at one end, the Room of
Archaeology, contains artifacts from the Permanent
Collection: Glass and Terra-cotta, Artifacts, Small
Sculpture and Figurines, Oil Lamps and Jewelry.
Within the Museum’s walls Cultural Artistic Activities.
take place, such as: Lectures, Discussion, with
participation of exhibiting Artists and celebration of
Special days and Jewish holidays. Like wise there are
many activities for didactic purposes and bridging the
distance between the Jewish People and its Heritage
geared mainly to groups of students of all ages, Army
personnel, new immigrants and Ulpannim. |
